Virtual Class for Private Schools
Cumberland County Schools offers a driver ed course and behind-the-wheel training in Cumberland County, serving Virtual Class for Private Schools.
Only students between the ages of 14 years, 6 months and 18 are eligible to enroll in this session. Students must be enrolled in one of the following:
- A CCS High School
- A Registered NC Homeschool
- A Private School in Cumberland County
Important: If you have enough credits to graduate, please do not register for this course.
Do NOT Register If You:
- Have enough credits to graduate and are not enrolled as a student.
- Cannot attend every class.
- Are currently playing a sport-wait until your season ends.
Note: Courses are only for schools within the jurisdiction (schools and residents of Cumberland County). Should you be ineligible and pay for registration on this site, you will be removed from the roster and forfeit your registration fee.
If all classes are full, please check back later in case some students may have dropped out.

Please note the age restrictions imposed during our registration process. If you do not meet the age requirement by the first day of class, you will need to select a future class or wait until the next registration period once the age limit has been reduced.
- 30 hours of classroom
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons
- 6 hours of in-car observations

*PAPERWORK REQUIRED: If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you must upload documentation from Child Nutrition Services in your Student Center within three (3) days.
